Großer Hörsaal (Talks)

The Großer Hörsaal is where the talks of the 6th BMS Student Conference will take place. It is located in the Institut für Informatik (Faculty of Computer Science) of the Freie Universität Berlin, where it can be found in the entrance floor. It is located at Takustr. 9, 14195 Berlin.

How to go there?

In order to go there, one can use public transportation. There are several options available:

Bus line X83, at the stop Arnimallee, plus approximately 5 minutes of walking. This bus can be taken in Rathaus Steglitz to which one can arrive with the U-Bahn line U9 and S-Bahn line S1 among other bus lines.
Bus line 101, at the stop Limonenstraße, plus approximately 5 minutes of walking.
Bus line X11, at the stop Dahlem Dorf, plus approximately 20 minutes of walking.
U-Bahn line U3, at the stop Dahlem Dorf, plus approximately 10 minutes of walking. Unfortunately, this line will experience renovation works and it will be substituted by a bus line incrementing the travelling time during the period of the conference.

Where to eat?

There are several options for lunch around the campus of the Freie Universität Berlin. These are some of them:

Mensa, at Otto-von-Simson-Str. 26, 14195 Berlin. (Around five euros).
Julius-Kühn Institut Canteen, at Königin-Luise-Straße 19, 14195 Berlin. (Around five euros). Menu accessible in this link.
Eßkultur Restaurant in Dahlem Museum, at Takustr. 38/40, 14195 Berlin-Steglitz. (Around six euros).
Dai Mai is a small stand across from the Dahlem-Dorf U-Bahn station. (Around five euros).
Best of Kebap is one of the ubiquitous Berliner kebab stands. This one is not actually the best, though. It's adjacent to the Dahlem-Dorf U-Bahn station. (Around four euros).
Luise Dahlem is a fancy(ish) German restaurant. Königin-Luise-Straße 40 - 42, 14195 Berlin. (10-20 euros).
Non La Restaurant has Vietnamese food. Not bad. Grunewaldstraße 28, 12165 Berlin. (8-15 euros)
Asia Snack is an FU student favorite. #36 is their best dish, #5 is their cheapest. Königin-Luise-Straße 38, 14195 Berlin. (3-6 euros)

BMS Lounge (Wine and Cheese)

The BMS Lounge is where the Wine and Cheese event will take place. It is located at Institut für Mathematik (Faculty of Mathematics) of the Technische Universität Berlin, where it can be found at room MA209 in the second floor. It is located at Str. des 17. Juni 136, 10623 Berlin.

How to go there?

In order to go there, one can use public transportation. There are several options available:

U-Bahn line U2, at the stop U Ernst-Reuter Platz, plus approximately 5 minutes of walking.
Buses M45, X9 and 245, at the stop U Ernst-Reuter Platz, plus approximately between 5 and 10 minutes of walking.
S-Bahn lines S3, S5 and S7, at the stop S Tiergarten, plus approximately 10 minutes of walking.
U-Bahn line U9, at the stop S/U Zoologischer Garten, plus approximately 20 minutes of walking.

The best way to go from the Campus of the Freie Universität Berlin to the BMS Lounge is to take the bus X83 from Arnimallee, Museum Dahlem or Dahlem Dorf to Rathaus Steglitz, the U-Bahn line U9 from Rathaus Steglitz to Zoologischer Garten and the U-Bahn line U2 from Zoologischer Garten to Ernst-Reuter Platz.
